Manifesto

A MANIFESTO is a written statement declaring publicly my intentions, motives, and views.

MY VIEWS: Every human being suffers at some time.  There is necessary and unnecessary suffering.    Necessary suffering is the agent for change that the soul uses to experience, learn and grow from life.  It is not correct to take away anyone’s necessary suffering.  To do so would blunt their spiritual growth.  Unnecessary suffering, on the other hand, is created by us –individually and collectively – consciously and unconsciously – and much can be done to alleviate unnecessary suffering.

Every human being has unique gifts and talents that the world needs and no one else can deliver.  If these gifts and talents go unexpressed, the individual and the world suffers.  When we are expressing our uniqueness in the world, much suffering ceases.  When we are withholding our gifts and talents or unable to express them, the world goes hungry for them and we long for our rightful place.  All difficulties, challenges and traumas have meaning in and of themselves and give us unique opportunities for soul growth.  In the face of them, we can experience trust and surrender – or fear and control – our choice.  Trust and surrender work in every situation – and are the antidote to fear and control.

Some of our challenges are so deep that they could be called our spiritual initiations.  They change our lives – often in an instant – and our lives are never the same.  These initiatory experiences can move us forward into deep wisdom if we surrender to that process.  If we resist, we suffer – often in direct proportion to the strength of our resistance.

MY MOTIVES: My deepest wish is to be an agent for transformation.  I believe that my healing gift is to help others express their gifts and talents by removing impediments and blockages – supporting healing and a growing awareness of what’s possible.

Like so many human beings, I want to make a difference in the world.  In my work I find happiness, joy, satisfaction, fulfillment, sustainability, and my own path of personal growth that deep healing always calls forward.

MY INTENTIONS: I intend to devote myself passionately to the work that has heart and meaning for me.  I offer a respectful witness to those individuals who seek healing – trusting in their ability to heal and supporting that process with techniques and modalities that I’ve learned over my lifetime, usually as a result of my own initiations.  I intend to alleviate unnecessary suffering.  I intend to support the process of going through necessary suffering – the suffering that the soul took birth to experience.  I intend to align with sustainability – both in my lifestyle and in the lifestyle coaching that I do with my patients.  I intend to be on the cutting edge of true health care – to help people understand the difference between disease care and health care, and to be a bridge between those worlds of healing.

I am responsible for my own healing and I encourage others to embrace self-responsibility as well.
